Spirit Airlines Ceases Operations

Spirit Airlines has ceased operations and will not operate flights at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW). According to Spirit, all flights have been cancelled and customer service is no longer available. If you are scheduled to travel on a Spirit flight, please do not come to DTW.

Parking System Testing Underway in McNamara Garage

Parking at DTW will soon become easier. DTW will unveil a parking guidance system in the McNamara Terminal Garage later this year. But first, the system must undergo testing. With this new technology, colored lights above parking spaces help customers identify available spots. A green light indicates an open space, while a red light indicates an occupied space. During testing, the lights may not be accurate; parking availability displays and directional arrows will not be operational.

MDOT ‘Restore I-94’ Construction Project underway

DETROIT – The Michigan Department of Transportation's "Restore I-94" construction project – which will extend from Wayne Road to Schaefer Road – is currently in progress. Scheduled for completion by 2029, this three-year initiative includes pavement replacement, bridge repairs and the construction of a new interchange at Ecorse Road.
