All vehicles driving on and/or accessing the Air Operations Area (AOA) shall display an Airport-approved AOA vehicle permit. Airport Security is responsible for the issuance of vehicle permits for Contractors, Vendors and Airport Tenants requiring access to the AOA. All vehicles driving unescorted on the AOA must be registered with Airport Security. Designated equipment and vehicles must have a company logo pasted or magnetically affixed to the side of the vehicle. Logos shall be commercially made or constructed with a minimum of 12” x 12” in printed size. Magnetically affixed logos must be displayed at all time while the vehicle is on the AOA.
All AOA Vehicle Access Permit Applications must be completed, signed by the Authorized Signer and submitted to the Credentials Office.
Please allow at least 2-5 business days for permit processing. Processing is dependent on valid insurance on file. Applications are valid for 30 days from the date signed. Once contacted for pick-up, permits are held for 30 days.
A fee is charged for each vehicle permit. Lost or stolen passes must be reported immediately to Airport Security. A fee will be assessed for a vehicle permit that needs replacing. A new vehicle AOA Vehicle Access Permit Application must be filled out for a replacement permit.
Company vehicles will be issued AOA access permits only when the Airport has verified that the vehicle is covered by a valid insurance company utilizing the ACORD Certificate. A liability insurance accord with a minimum of $5,000,000 in coverage must be provided. Escorted vehicles must have $1,000,000 in coverage.
Permanent Decal, 2x10
Permanent Decals are issued to government, airline and direct tenants whose vehicles operate daily on the AOA. The decal adheres permanently to the front of the vehicle.
Temporary Vehicle Permit
Temporary Vehicle Permits are issued to contractors, vendors and companies who do not have a direct lease with the Airport or their work is temporary in nature.
Companies must comply with the Airport’s insurance requirements and be approved by the Airport Credentials Office. Vehicles with Escort Permits must be escorted at all times while driving on the AOA.
Ramp Safety Orientation
Contractors and vendors that require driving access on the Air Operations Area (AOA) must attend a one-time Ramp Safety Orientation given by Airfield Operations. The orientation cannot be taken until the new applicant’s background check has cleared. The orientation must be complete each time a new badge application is required. The orientation is typically 60-75 minutes in length.
Airfield Operations Orientations are conducted Monday-Friday, 9:30 am & 12:00 pm. No appointment is required unless the company would like to request an orientation for a large group of individuals at one time.
