Frontier Airlines to Add New Service Between Detroit and Orlando, FLA.

DETROIT (September 1, 2015) - Frontier Airlines will add new daily low-fare non-stop service to Orlando, Fla. from Detroit Metropolitan Airport beginning Nov. 18. The airline will offer special fares for as low as $39 to celebrate this new service as well as give away 12 round-trip tickets (one every hour) from 10 a.m. EDT until 10 p.m. EDT today at the following link:

“We are excited to offer even more low fare service for Detroit with this new flight,” said Daniel Shurz, chief commercial officer. “Metro Detroit has responded positively to our Low Fares Done Right philosophy allowing us to add our first non-stop to the Sunshine State from Detroit.”

“Orlando is currently our customers’ second-most preferred destination from Detroit and for that reason, was one of our top priorities for new air service,” said Thomas Naughton, Airport Authority CEO. “Our customers love to have choices when scheduling their travel plans so this is good news all around.”

In addition to the new Orlando service, Frontier also flies non-stop from Detroit to Denver; Trenton, N.J.; and Washington – Dulles.

Below is a summary of the new service:

At, customers can always add The WORKS to any purchased fare. Prices range from $49 to $69 each way, based on a round-trip purchase, and customers get one carry-on bag, one checked bag, best available seating including Stretch and Exit Row options, full refundability when canceled at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure, no change fees and priority boarding. For the new Detroit-Orlando service, The Works will be $65 each way, based on round-trip purchase.


Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 pm Eastern time on Sep. 02, 2015 for domestic, nonstop travel on the following dates only: Nov. 18-19, Nov. 26, 2015, Dec. 2, Dec. 8-9, Dec. 15-16, 2015.

Fares are one way and do not require roundtrip purchase.
